Adam Neely  is a bass guitarist and composer working in New York City. He runs a popular educational YouTube channel where he explores unusual and interesting topics in music and bass playing that might not normally be explored. 

Adam is the music director and bassist for the Metropolitan Players, an award-winning events band that specializes in top 40 music. He is also a founding member of Sungazer (electro-prog), and regularly performs with Bright and Loud (rock), sóto (indie-soul), his large ensemble, Mass Extinction Event, and a number of up and coming singer-songwriters on the New York scene. Also an active theater musician, Adam performs with Will and Anthony Nunziata

Adam’s work for large ensemble has been supported by the Jerome Fund, ASCAP, and Herb Pomeroy Foundation. He is a member of the BMI Jazz Composers workshop, and a received a Masters of Music in Jazz Composition from the Manhattan School of Music in 2012.

Adam teaches guitar, bass guitar, piano and ukulele from his studio in the Bronx.
